Wishtel Ira Icon : 7-inch tablet launced in association with BSNL

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and WishTel have teamed up to launch a brand new Android-based tablet called IRA ICON. Scheduled to be legally unveiled on October 1, the IRA ICON is pricing labelled at Rs. 10,500. Did You Know? October 1st is observed as "BSNL Day". It looks like BSNL is trying to score a good position in tablet world, firstly with 'Pantel' and now with 'WishTel'

The Ira Icon also referred as 'Triple Play Tablet' is a 7-inch Tablet PC which has an image resolution of 800X480 pixel. It includes angle TFT, LCD, capacitive multi-touch display screen and operates on Android 4.0(ICS) with 1.2 GHz processor and a non-standard 1GB of RAM. It is driven by internal 3G Sim from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). The Ira Icon allows calling facilities such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity and in addition is offered to you with built-in stereo speakers and a microphone.

For connectivity features, the IRA ICON allows voice calls (SIM slot), Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP), 3G, GPS, WI-Fi, Bluetooth, mini HDMI, 3.5mm jack and USB. The IRA ICON is accessible preloaded with a broad range of apps such as Wish Learning, Wish Studio, Wish TV, Wish News, Wish video calling, Skype, Photo Viewer, Games , Gtalk, Google play.

BSNL is offering a 3G SIM and free 3G data of 2GB for two months especially for the IRA ICON buyers. Customers can take advantage of the eye-catching 3G data plans of BSNL or the particularly created Tablet plans.

The IRA ICON is available in two colours - black and white.

The Ira Icon is sleek and weighs in at lower than half a kilo, is designed with durable built to sustain the mobile environment.  The device is available to you with a inclusive complement of ports, including USB, SD Card, audio and HD video to simplify the use of industry standard peripheral solutions. It carries a 0.3 MP front camera and 2.0MP rear-facing digital camera to support image capture, video conferencing and collaboration.

The Triple Play Tablet PC comes along preloaded with many apps that include Wish Learning, Wish Studio, Wish TV, Wish News, Wish video calling, and many more apps.
