Karbonn Mobiles, Indian mobile company, is all set to let
loose special edition phones and tablets based on Rajnikant’s up-coming
movie Kochadaiyaan.
According to the Mobile Indian, Karbonn Mobiles will
manufacture these phones and tabs with special content on Rajinikanth with
behind the scenes videos, dialogues etc. The gadgets will also have his
autograph on them. This is first time we have seen some Indian company do this,
next to footprints of Nokia which released Lumia 800 Dark Knight edition to
shore up movie – The Dark Knight Rises.
For this purpose, Karbonn Mobiles had bind with Eros and
Mediaone, the distributor of the film, to compose five lakh phones as part of
its Kochadaiyaan gadget range. Kochadaiyaan mobiles will contain exclusive
screensavers and snaps from the movie all along with the promo and the
signature tune. And they will also encompass Rajinikanth’s autograph on them.
These special Kochadaiyaan mobiles will be launched in September/October during
the audio launch of the film.
The series is anticipated to comprise some feature phones
from Karbonn Mobiles as well as the freshly launched Karbonn Smart tab 1 and
Karbonn Smartphones. Nevertheless, these will be customized with content and
decorative changes to give a fashionable look and feel. Both the companies are
still working on the fine points still, and things will get clearer in the days
to approach.
Kochadaiyaan is an ultra modern hi-tech action adventure
film, on the outline of James Camaron’s Avatar and Spielberg’s TinTin. The
motion picture will be unconfined in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and English. Along
with Rajini, the film stars include Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, Sharat
Kumar, Nazzar, Shobana, Aadi, Rukmani and others.
The music release of the movie is intended in Tokyo and multi city premieres of the film are being
planned athwart Los Angeles, London
and India.
The film is planned to release towards the end of the year.
This is not the initial time that a gadget is being
made and sold to endorse a movie. Last year Shahrukh Khan starrer RaOne also
had a tablet on the loose in its name, but it did not do well in stipulations
of sales.
