Blackberry Playbook 16 GB will be discontinued after RIM
sent an email out to employees very recently highlighting the company’s
intentions.
It’s been one heck of a ride for the Blackberry Playbook,
as it launched with a lot of expectations previous year, but as we’ve come
to see in the diligence, it couldn’t grapple the same accomplishment found with
some of its competitors. RIM even slashed the rates of Blackberry Playbook late
previous year, and it did get them a number of pleasant sales. But now the information
is that RIM will be in next to no time discontinuing the 16 GB version of the
Playbook.
RIM expressly gives a clear-cut reason for the
discontinuation, as they say that there is more worth found with the superior
capability models. Though we agree with them, but we also sense that this has
also got to do with the novel forthcoming Blackberry Playbook 4G models which
will be accessible in 32 GB and 64 GB storage only.
